Immediate Collection
We are able to collect immediately should your loved one be at home or in a care home, as part of our Variety Premium collection service. Variety Funerals™ will typically arrive to collect the deceased from the address provided in within 2 hours.
We are legally unable to collect until the death has been verified by a medical professional such a nurse, doctor or paramedic.

Should we go out of business, we aim to have arrangements in place so a new regulated provider can carry out your funeral plan. Alternatively, if another provider could not be found, the FSCS would step in.
At Variety Funerals™ we use a dedicated Whole of Life (WOL) policy issued by Royal London Mutual Insurance Society, the UK’s largest mutual insurer. The policy is independent of our company, so your funds remain safe even if we were to cease trading, and your money is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
Variety Funerals Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Firm Reference Number 1011776 — you can check this on the Financial Services Register at register.fca.org.uk. Please note that FCA regulations apply to pre-paid funeral plans, not funeral arrangements made after someone has passed away.
The FSCS protects you when financial firms fail. If the firm you’ve used has gone out of business and can’t pay your claim, the FSCS can step in to pay compensation. Set up by the government, it is independent and their service is free to use.
